Terms & Conditions
These Terms govern all bookings, visits, memberships and use of The Sweet Spot's facilities. By booking, entering the venue or using our facilities, you ("Guest") agree to be bound by these Terms. The Sweet Spot may amend these Terms at any time; the version published on our website at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
1. Definitions & Introduction
1.1 "The Sweet Spot", "TSS", "we", "us" or "the Company" refers to Adrim TSS Ltd, operator of The Sweet Spot indoor golf and entertainment lounge in Gzira, Malta.
1.2 "Guest" refers to the individual making the booking and all participants attending under that booking. The person making the booking is responsible for the conduct of all participants.
1.3 "Bay" refers to a golf simulator bay, including the VIP Suite. "Member" refers to a holder of a valid TSS Membership. "Sweet Credit" refers to prepaid credit held on a Guest or Member account.
1.4 These Terms apply to all bookings, simulator use, coaching, memberships, Sweet Credit, private hire, corporate accounts, events, and use of the bar and all other facilities.
2. Bookings & Payment
2.1 Full payment or a valid Sweet Credit balance is required at the time of booking to confirm a session. Bookings are only confirmed once payment is received and a confirmation is issued.
2.2 Bays may be booked up to 90 days in advance. A Guest may hold a maximum of 2 bay bookings per day unless otherwise agreed by management.
2.3 Bookings are personal and non-transferable unless agreed in writing by management.
2.4 Prices are quoted in Euro and include VAT at the applicable Maltese rate.
2.5 Peak, off-peak and VIP Suite rates are as published on our website and may change without notice. The rate applicable is the rate confirmed at the time of booking.
2.6 The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking at its discretion. Where the Company cancels a booking for reasons other than Guest misconduct, a full refund or account credit will be issued at the Guest's election.
2.7 A limited number of walk-in bays may be available on the day, subject to availability, and cannot be reserved in advance.
3. Guests & Use of Simulators
3.1 Standard bays accommodate up to 4 players. The VIP Suite accommodates up to 6 players. Larger groups must be arranged in advance with management.
3.2 Bay time starts and ends at the times booked. Sessions will not be extended to compensate for late arrival.
3.3 Guests arriving more than 20 minutes after the booked start time may have their booking cancelled without refund and the bay released.
3.4 Guests must vacate the bay promptly at the end of their session to allow the venue to reset for the next booking.
3.5 Presentable attire and clean, flat, non-marking indoor footwear are mandatory. Golf spikes, dirty shoes, sandals and bare feet are not permitted in the bays. Management reserves the right to refuse entry to the bays on this basis.
3.6 Disruptive, abusive, intoxicated or unsafe behaviour will result in immediate removal from the venue without refund.
3.7 Loaned or hired clubs and equipment must be left as found at the end of the session. The Company reserves the right to charge for lost or damaged equipment.
3.8 The Company reserves the right to relocate a booking to an alternative bay, or to substitute the VIP Suite for a standard bay (or vice versa, with any price difference refunded or charged), where operationally necessary.
3.9 Guests may not use their own golf balls unless expressly agreed with staff in advance. Only clean, undamaged balls supplied or approved by TSS may be hit in the bays. Marked, painted, stamped, scuffed, cut, wet, dirty or outdoor driving-range balls are strictly forbidden, as they damage the impact screen and compromise tracking accuracy.
3.10 Guests using their own clubs must ensure club heads and grooves clean and dry and free of dirt, sand, grit or moisture. Wet, muddy or sandy clubs brought in from an outdoor course are strictly forbidden in the bays.
3.11 Staff may inspect any equipment brought into the venue and may refuse its use at their sole discretion. Any damage arising from the use of unapproved balls or unclean equipment will be charged to the Guest in accordance with clause 10.2.
4. Cancellation, Changes & Refunds
4.1 Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the booked start time will be refunded in full to Sweet Credit on the Guest's account, or refunded to the original payment method on request.
4.2 Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the booked start time, and no-shows, are non-refundable and no credit will be issued.
4.3 Amendments to a booking (date, time or bay) may be made free of charge more than 24 hours before the booked start time, subject to availability.
4.4 Private hire and event bookings are subject to separate cancellation terms set out in the relevant booking confirmation or event agreement. Setup fees and deposits for private hire are non-refundable within 14 days of the event date.
4.5 Where operations are affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including public health measures, government directives, utility failure, equipment failure or force majeure — affected bookings will be rescheduled or credited.
4.6 Because our services are provided on a specified date and for a specified time period, the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts under Maltese and EU consumer law does not apply to bay, coaching or event bookings.
5. Sweet Credit & Membership
5.1 Sweet Credit is prepaid credit purchased in advance, which may include bonus credit at the tiers published at the time of purchase.
5.2 Sweet Credit is non-transferable, is not redeemable for cash, and no refunds will be issued on unused balances, including any bonus element.
5.3 Sweet Credit expires 12 months after the date of the last account activity (top-up or spend). Expired balances are forfeited. We will make reasonable efforts to notify account holders by email before expiry.
5.4 Membership runs for 12 months from the date of purchase and is personal to the named Member. Membership fees are non-refundable and membership is non-transferable.
5.5 Member benefits — including discounted bay rates, food and beverage discounts, coaching rates and extended access — are as published at the time of purchase and may be varied on reasonable notice. Benefits may not be used by anyone other than the Member.
5.6 Membership does not guarantee bay availability. Bookings remain subject to availability.
5.7 Membership may renew automatically if the Member has opted into automatic renewal at the point of purchase, in which case the Member may cancel renewal at any time before the renewal date.
6. Out-of-Hours & Unattended Access
6.1 Where a Member is granted out-of-hours or unstaffed access to the venue, that access is personal, non-transferable and subject to these Terms and to any additional access conditions issued by management.
6.2 Access codes, cards or credentials must not be shared. Members are fully responsible for anyone they admit to the venue and for all activity during their access period.
6.3 Members must not admit any person who does not hold their own valid booking or membership. Breach of this clause will result in immediate termination of access privileges without refund.
6.4 The bar is not available during unstaffed periods. No alcohol may be consumed on the premises during unstaffed access unless served by TSS staff.
6.5 The venue is monitored by CCTV at all times. Members using the venue unattended do so entirely at their own risk and accept that no staff assistance is available.
7. Coaching
7.1 Coaching sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged in full.
7.2 Coaching packages are valid for 12 months from purchase and are non-transferable.
7.3 Guests must disclose any injury, medical condition or physical limitation to their coach before the session begins.
8. Bar, Food & Alcohol
8.1 Alcohol will not be served to any person under the legal minimum age in Malta, currently 17, and photographic ID may be requested. Alcohol will not be served to any person who appears intoxicated.
8.2 Guests who are intoxicated may be refused access to the bays and asked to leave without refund, for safety reasons.
8.3 Guests must inform staff of any allergies or dietary requirements before ordering. While we take allergens seriously, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
8.4 Drinks are not permitted on the hitting mat or within the swing area.
9. Minors
9.1 Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible adult aged 18 or over, who accepts full responsibility for their conduct and safety.
9.2 Guests under 18 may not access the venue outside staffed hours under any circumstances.
9.3 Management reserves the right to restrict access by minors to certain areas of the venue, including the bar, at any time.
10. Liability & Damage
10.1 Guests are financially responsible for all damage to TSS property, equipment or the premises caused directly or indirectly by any act, omission, negligence or fault of the Guest or any of their guests, invitees or fellow participants. This excludes normal wear and tear and consumables such as golf balls, tees and glassware.
10.2 Damage to simulator screens, projectors, tracking units, monitors or the fabric of the building caused by reckless or improper use — including hitting non-approved balls, hitting outside the designated mat, or throwing clubs — will be charged at full replacement or repair cost.
10.3 Activities at the venue, including simulator play, are undertaken at the Guest's own risk. Each Guest voluntarily assumes the risks associated with golf simulator play and use of the facilities.
10.4 The Company accepts no liability for personal injury, loss or damage to persons or property except where caused by our negligence, gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Maltese law.
10.5 The Company accepts no responsibility for personal property brought onto the premises, including items left in lockers, changing areas, showers or the car park.
10.6 All accidents, injuries and equipment faults must be reported to staff immediately.
11. Health & Safety
Guests must observe the following at all times:
11.1 Only one person may occupy the hitting area of a bay at any time. All swings must be taken within the designated hitting mat.
11.2 No club may be swung outside a simulator bay or the designated putting area. Practice swings elsewhere in the venue are strictly prohibited.
11.3 Spectators must remain behind the marked safety line, stand facing the golfer, and stay alert. Never walk in front of, or behind within swing range of, a player mid-swing.
11.4 Check your surroundings — screen, side netting, structural columns, dividers, tee unit and other people — before every swing.
11.5 All shots must be directed at the simulator screen. Do not deliberately strike balls at any other surface.
11.6 Do not enter or leave a bay while a swing is in progress.
11.7 Guests must use equipment correctly and follow all staff instructions and posted signage.
11.8 Guests must not use the facilities if under the influence of alcohol or any substance to a degree that impairs safe participation.
11.9 Guests participate on the basis that they are in good health and physically fit to do so. If in doubt, seek medical advice before playing.
12. Filming, Images & Data Protection
12.1 The venue is covered by CCTV for security and safety purposes.
12.2 We may photograph or film at the venue for marketing purposes. Guests who do not wish to appear should notify staff, and we will take reasonable steps to accommodate this.
12.3 Simulator systems record shot and performance data linked to your player profile. This data is used to deliver the service and, where you have consented, for coaching and marketing purposes.
12.4 We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR and the Maltese Data Protection Act (Cap. 586).
12.5 Marketing communications are sent only where you have given separate, explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by emailing admin@thesweetspotgolf.mt.
13. Termination of Membership or Access
13.1 The Company reserves the right to deny membership at its discretion, and may terminate any membership, account or access privilege with immediate effect where a Guest misuses the facilities, endangers or interferes with the enjoyment or safety of others, damages property, or breaches these Terms.
13.2 Where membership is terminated for cause under clause 13.1, no refund of membership fees will be made. Any remaining Sweet Credit balance will be refunded less the value of any bonus credit and any sums owed to the Company.
14. Complaints
14.1 Complaints should be raised with the duty manager at the time where possible, or submitted in writing to admin@thesweetspotgolf.mt for the attention of the General Manager.
14.2 We aim to acknowledge written complaints within 48 hours and to resolve them within 14 days.
15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
15.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta.
15.2 Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the facilities is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta.
15.3 Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Affairs Act (Cap. 378) and related Maltese and EU consumer legislation.
