The essentials.

Play off your official handicap, or your Trackman handicap after 3 qualifying rounds.

Have both? Your official handicap is used.

Check in

Tell a member of staff before every attempt. Rounds that aren't checked in don't count.

Leaderboards

Every competition has a gross and a net leaderboard. The top 10 on each earn Order of Merit points.

One score

In both top 10s? Only your higher position counts, and the next player moves up.

04Order of Merit points

Every round counts.

Points from every competition add up across the season. The Majors and the Samara Cup are worth double, and selected Weeklies a quarter of a Monthly.

06FAQs

Good questions.

Who can play?

Monthlies are open to anyone with a handicap, and Weeklies are open to everyone. The Majors and the Samara Cup are for members only.

Do I need to be a member?

Not for the Monthlies or the Weeklies. The three Majors and the Samara Cup are members only, and they're worth double Order of Merit points. If you want to play the Samara Cup, membership is the way in.

How do I enter?

Book a bay during the competition window, then tell a member of staff before you start your attempt so it's registered. You can book online or ask at the bar.

I don't have a handicap. Can I still play?

Yes. Play 3 qualifying rounds on our Trackman simulators and you'll have a Trackman handicap, played at 90%, which you can use for every Tour competition. Weeklies don't need a handicap at all.

Which handicap will I play off?

Your official handicap is played at 75%. If you don't have one, you play off 90% of your Trackman handicap once you've played 3 qualifying rounds. If you have both, we use your official handicap.

The allowances reflect that scoring indoors is usually easier than on the course: no wind, perfect lies.

How many attempts do I get?

3 attempts in a Monthly and in the Samara Cup, and only your best score counts. You don't have to use all three. 1 attempt in each Major and in a Weekly.

Can I play with friends?

Of course. Book a bay together and play your rounds side by side. Each player checks in their own attempt with staff.

Gross or net: which leaderboard am I on?

Both. Every competition has a gross and a net leaderboard, and the top 10 on each earn points. If you finish in both top 10s, only your higher position counts and the next player moves up.

How does the Order of Merit work?

Every Monthly, Major, the Samara Cup and selected Weeklies award points to the top 10 (see the points table). Your points add up across the season, and the standings are updated after every competition.

What happens if there's a tie?

Tied players share the points for the positions they cover. For example, two players tied for 2nd in a Monthly share the 2nd and 3rd place points (80 + 65), so each gets 72.5.

Who wins the Samara Cup?

The Samara Cup is the final competition of the season, played in June and open to members. Its winner lifts the Samara Cup, and it's worth double Order of Merit points.

What can I win?

Every Monthly has a prize pot of €1,000+, and the final standings have a five-figure prize pot for the top of the Order of Merit. Prizes are supported by The Sweet Spot Tour's partners.

Which course and settings will we play?

The course and competition settings for each event are announced before it opens. Everyone plays the same course with the same settings, so every score is comparable.

I joined mid-season. Can I still compete?

Yes. Start earning points at the next competition. The season is long, and the Majors and the Samara Cup are worth double.

What if something goes wrong during my round?

Let a member of staff know straight away. If there's a technical problem with the simulator, staff will decide whether the round can continue or be replayed.

Where can I see the leaderboards?

Leaderboards and Order of Merit standings are updated at the venue and shared on our socials after every competition.
